October Query Tips for Writers - Tip #4

Here's out last Query tip for October.

If you have ever published before, won any kind of writing awards, etc., make sure to mention it in your query letter. Your first goal is to sell your book and no matter what else you include in the letter, that will be the editor/agent's focus. However, your secondary goal is to sell yourself as a writer and additional information, such as mentioned above, may add extra interest. Be as engaged in writing an interesting bio for the query letter as you are in writing the actual book query. You never know what part of the letter may sway the editor/agent to reach out and ask you for more.
