October Query Tips for Writers

Today, and every Monday in October, we will share one Query Tip for writers sending out queries to agents and editors.

Query Tip #1

Proofread your query before sending it out. This is the first impression an agent or editor may be getting of you and your writing. If the query has misspellings or bad grammar, the impression may be that if you did not take time to put together a good, well-edited and proofed query letter, which is only about a page long, you may also not take time to send your best product (your manuscript) to them. Put your best face forward in that query letter and make it count.
